Enabling Reviews
Use the instructions below to enable automated review requests in Yapi Leap.
Note
Only users with Admin privileges can perform this task.
Click Settings from the menu on the left and select Practice Settings.
Click Reviews.
On the Reviews page, slide the Enable toggle to the right to (orange) to turn Reviews on.
Optional: If you want review requests to start sending automatically on a day in the future, click the down arrow
next to Start sending on and pick the day you want. Otherwise, review requests will start sending today.
Optional: If you don't want to send reviews for specific procedures, providers or operatories, click Manage Exclusions.
Tip
We recommend excluding procedure codes for anesthesia and procedures that are regularly scheduled with anesthesia so patients can focus on rest and recovery.
In the window that opens, click the green Add icon
next to Procedure, Provider, or Operatory. Then choose the procedure, provider, or operatory you want to exclude review requests for.
Repeat for each procedure, provider, or operatory you want to exclude.
Click Save. You'll see a message at the bottom of the page letting you know your changes were saved.
Enter your practice's Google Place ID in the Review Site box. If you don't know your practice's Google Place ID, use the instructions below:
Open the Google Maps Place ID Finder
in your web browser.
In the Enter a location box (in on the top portion of the map), enter your practice's address or name.
Select your practice from the results that appear.
Highlight your Place ID and copy it.
Go back to Leap and paste your Place ID into the Review Site box.
Click Save Settings. A message will display at the bottom of the page letting you know your changes were saved. Reviews is now enabled with Yapi's best practices. 😁 You can stop here or adjust additional settings with the optional steps below.
Optional: Adjust the time review requests are sent each day:
Under Review Request - Text Message in the Review Request section, click the down arrow
next to 6PM and select a different time.
Note
Timeframes are limited since we've found that sending requests after school/work result in the highest rates of engagement.
Click Save Settings. You'll see a message at the bottom of the page letting you know your changes were saved.
Optional: Edit the review request template.
Click the blue Review Request - Text Message link to open the text template.
Click Edit.
Make changes to the text template as needed.
Tip
If you use platforms other than Google for reviews, (like Yelp, Facebook, Healthgrades, etc.), you can add review links for these other platforms. We strongly recommend adding only one additional link, though. Too many links can be overwhelming for patients and some carriers split longer texts into multiple messages.
Click Save Template.
