Editing a Text Template for a Recall Reminder

Use the instructions below to edit text templates used for recall reminders.

  1. Click Settings from the menu on the left and select Practice Settings.

  2. Select Patient Reminders.

  3. Click the Recall Reminders tab.

  4. Select the recall reminder you'd like to edit by clicking on the blue text.

  5. Click Edit at the confirmation window to open the template.

  6. Make any changes needed.

  7. Optional: If your office uses Leap's Online Scheduling feature, use the Online Scheduling button to add a link to the text message that lets a patient schedule an appointment online.

  8. Optional: To automatically include personalized information, place your cursor where you want the information inserted. Then, click the Merge Tag menu and select the merge tag you want to include. For example, using the Recall Due Date tag automatically inserts each patient's due date so they know when they're coming due or how far past due they are. Refer to Merge Tags for Text Messages for a complete list of merge tags you can use.

  9. Click Save Template. A message displays at the bottom of the screen letting you know the updates were successfully saved.
