Appointment Reminders - Patient View
Below are images of the reminders that automatically send to a patient based on your Appointment Reminders settings. What they see may be slightly different from the images shown here depending on the device they're viewing their reminders on.
Important
For patients with multiple appointments scheduled on a single day (for example, seeing both their doctor and a hygienist), Leap consolidates reminders: they'll see all their appointments together in each reminder below instead of getting separate messages.
How Patients See Appointment Reminders
The first time a new patient schedules an appointment with your office, they'll receive this message instead of the Save the Date text or email. The text welcomes them to your practice, provides appointment details, a link for them to fill out new patient paperwork (if you've added a package to the reminder template) and includes your phone number so they can get in contact if they need to reschedule. If they do reschedule, this text sends again and includes their updated appointment information.
Note
If a patient has multiple appointments booked for the same day, this reminder only includes the first appointment.

New Patient Welcome Text with a Form Request Added
Depending on your settings, a patient receives the text and/or email below once their appointment has been booked or rescheduled. These messages include the patient's appointment details so they can add it to their calendar.
Note
If a patient has multiple appointments booked for the same day, this reminder only includes the first appointment.

Save the Date Text

Save the Date Email
If a patient hasn't confirmed their appointment, they'll receive a text reminder, an email reminder, or both, depending on your settings. Leap also groups these reminders for families with children: when family members have a gap of 15 minutes or less between appointments and there's at least one minor in the group, Leap sends a consolidated text listing all their names and the first appointment time of the group.
For texts, patients will also receive a link to any paperwork they need to complete if you have forms automation set up. Examples of reminders sent to both individuals and to families are shown below.
Important
When a patient confirms in a response to this reminder, this confirms all appointments listed in that reminder. This includes family members grouped together in the reminder.

This reminder is sent a day prior to a patient's appointment at 10am for any patients you've marked in Eaglesoft as needing to premedicate:

Premedicate Reminder Text
This is the last reminder a patient receives before their appointment, just so they don't forget. They'll get it on the day of their appointment unless their appointment is early in the morning, in which case they'll receive it the night before. Leap also groups these reminders for families with children: when family members have a gap of 15 minutes or less between appointments and there's at least one minor in the group, Leap sends a consolidated text listing all their names and the first appointment time of the group.
Patients will also receive a link to any paperwork they need to complete if you have forms automation set up. Examples of reminders sent to individuals and to families are shown below.
