Patient Eligibility and Benefits Report
If your office uses Yapi Leap's Insurance Verification feature, you'll see the Patient Eligibility and Benefits Report at the bottom of the Insurance tab on patient's profile page. This report provides detailed information about the patient's insurance coverage and based on the last time their eligibility status was checked in Leap.
It's a big report so we've made it easier to read by splitting it into the sections below. While you're in Leap, just click on the section of the report to open it and see more details.
Deductibles
This section provides information about a patient's deductibles. This can help you have conversations with the patient about how much their insurance provider covers and how much they can expect to pay for treatments or procedures.
Maximums
This section provides information about the maximum amount a patient's insurance provider will pay for a service. This, coupled with knowing the patient's deductible amount, can help drive conversations about the cost of a procedure, so patients aren't surprised when they receive a bill.
Coinsurance
Knowing the percentage an insurance provider covers for a patient's procedure helps you inform a patient about how much insurance will cover and how much they'll be expected to pay. This section also includes a search bar so you can easily find the service type or ADA code you're looking for. The image below is an example of the coinsurance information available on the report.
Frequencies & Limitations
This section provides information about how often an insurance provider will cover for a specific procedure and whether there are certain coverage limitations (like an age limit). Like the Coinsurance section, Frequencies & Limitations also includes search bar so you can quickly search for a service type or ADA code. The image below is an example of frequencies and limitations information available on the report.
