Tips for Easily Accessing Yapi Leap
Yapi Leap was built with flexibility in mind so you can access it through our classic Dashboard or by creating a desktop shortcut. Click one of the options below to learn how to quickly access the web app, whether you’re just starting out using Yapi or setting up a new computer.
Creating a taskbar shortcut makes access to Leap always available within one click, even when you’re busy using Open Dental or some other app. Use the instructions below to create a shortcut for Yapi Leap that appears in your computer's taskbar (at the bottom of your screen).
Open a web browser and go to https://my.yapiapp.com/
.Log into Leap.
Look for the download icon
at the end of the address bar and click it.When the Install app? prompt displays, click Install. This adds Leap's green leaf icon to your taskbar. Now instead of typing in an address, you can click this whenever you need to log in!

If you see this image 
in instead of the download option , this means pop up blockers are enabled. You'll need to temporarily disable pop up blockers to download Leap. Just click and follow any prompts to allow popups from my.yapiapp.com.

For the latest instructions, make sure your browser is updated to the latest version and go directly to Google's Workspace Learning Center (for Chrome), Microsoft Support (for Edge), or if you're using another browser, find the support page for the browser you're using.
Most people have the same ritual when the start their day: turn the computer on, go to the desktop to find the app you use most, double click to open the app, then dig into work. Creating a desktop shortcut for Yapi Leap lets you move the shortcut to whatever part of the desktop you want so you don’t have to click from the start menu to find Leap. Use the instructions below to create a shortcut for Leap that appears as a desktop icon.
Right click on your desktop and select New, then Shortcut.
Enter http://my.yapiapp.com into the empty box.
Click Next.
When asked if you'd like to name the shortcut, type Yapi Leap in the box.
Click Finish. You'll now see a shortcut you just created on your desktop. The icon that displays on your desktop will depend on your computer's default web browser. (In the video above, we're using Chrome.)

Not all of the Yapi features you know and love have migrated to Leap so some people are still using the Classic Dashboard on a regular basis. Use the instructions below to access Yapi Leap from your desktop Dashboard.
Open the Yapi Leap Classic Dashboard on your desktop.
Click the leaf icon
in the toolbar.When the login page opens in your web browser, log into the web app using your email address and password.
