Creating a PIN for Office Tablets
If you want to assign forms to patients directly from a tablet, you'll need a PIN set up for all your team members to use. To set up a PIN, follow the steps below.
Important
Only users with Admin privileges can perform this task.
In the left-hand menu, click Settings and select Practice Settings.
Click Forms Library and Editor.
Click General Settings.
In the Assign Forms from a Tablet section, click Get Started.
Enter a 6-digit PIN for all your team members to use when assigning forms from a tablet.
PINs can't be 6 consecutive digits like 123456.
PINs can't be the same digit six times like 111111.
Click Next.
Grab any tablet you want to use for assigning forms. Then open the camera app and scan the QR Code you see on your desktop screen (aim the tablet's camera at the QR Code and tap the link when it appears).
Note
This is a one-time setup for each tablet. You don't need to scan the QR code each time you want to assign forms.
On the tablet, add the webpage to your Home Screen. You'll need to open this site any time you want to assign forms from the tablet in the future.
Repeat Steps 7-8 for any other tablets in your office you want to assign forms from.
Share the PIN with your team.
You're all set up! This QR code will stay in your settings so if you add more tablets to your practice, you can come back and scan them later. Now, any time a member of your team wants to assign forms from a tablet, just follow these steps:
Tap the Yapi icon on your Home Screen.
Enter the PIN and tap Assign Forms.
Select the patient and tap Next.
Tap Forms to select their forms and click Assign!
