Homepage

Yapi Leap's homepage is your home base for starting your day in Leap. Here, you can:

View your schedule for today, days in the past, and days in the future
Check patients in
See metrics for production goals and daily appointments (or hide them if you like)
Fill open appointment slots
See who's hasn't yet confirmed for today
Click to contact a patient or view their profile
See whose insurance eligibility has been verified at a glance (if you have Insurance Verification on your Yapi plan).

The homepage is dynamic which means you don't even need to click refresh to get updates: your appointments automatically display on the page! And if you're viewing today's schedule (the default), you'll see it's organized into three tabs: Scheduled, In Office, and Checked Out so you can easily track who's coming in, who's in the office, and who's all done.

Homepage Overview

Parts of the Homepage in Leap

The homepage appears automatically when you log in. If you need to get back to the homepage from another page in Leap, click the Home tab at top of the page or the logo in the top left corner.

Tip

Don't see an appointment on your schedule? Check your Practice Settings to make sure Leap is configured to recognize the correct appointment statuses. If they're configured correctly, try emptying your browser's cache or using Leap in your browser's incognito/private mode.

Today

To view today's schedule on the homepage, click the Today button.

Scheduled Tab

To get to the Scheduled tab of the homepage, click Today > Scheduled.

The Scheduled tab of the homepage is only viewable for today's appointments.

	Date
This box shows the date for the appointments you're currently viewing on the homepage (in this case, today's appointments). You can click it to select another date from the calendar and view that day's appointments. You can also click the Today button to quickly change the date back to today.
	Team Metrics
Metrics at the top of the page show a summary of of the day and month you're currently viewing including: Monthly production goal and your team's progress Daily production goal, estimated production for the day, and production your team completed Total appointments scheduled for today Total appointments completed today Click Hide Metrics to collapse this section and only show the day's schedule.
	Create a Mass Text Button
To send a mass text to multiple patients on your schedule, click the checkboxes next to their names or choose Select All, then click Create a Mass Text. You can then compose and send a text to all of your selected patients at once.
	Fill Appt Button
Have multiple openings in today's schedule or future appointments that you need filled? Click to create a mass text that sends to patients on your ASAP list or patients due for a recall appointment.
	Filters
Filters allow you to narrow down your view by Appointment Type, Patient Type, and/or active Provider. Applying filters won't affect the metrics at the top of the page.
	Appointment List
Here, you'll see a list of today's patients who haven't been checked in yet. Appointments are also grouped into: Unconfirmed Broken Confirmed Each row shows appointment details including the patient's name, age, and mobile number, their appointment time, and the provider scheduled to perform the treatment.
	Icons
These icons help inform you about a patient. You may see one or more of the following icons next to a patient's name: - New patient - Indicates this patient is new to your practice. - Appointment created via Online Scheduling. - You can click this icon to view more details including any insurance information the patient submitted when they scheduled as well as the Referral Source, which shows the website they were on when they scheduled online. The Referral Source will be blank if a patient scheduled from the scheduling widget on your practice's website. If you have Leap's Insurance Verification feature added to your Yapi plan, you'll also see these icons and can click the patient's name for more information about their insurance eligibility: - Insurance eligibility verified - Patient is not eligible with the insurance on file. Contact the patient to get updated insurance information. - Insurance eligibility hasn't been checked yet - Insurance unknown. Leap can't check insurance eligibility for this plan. Contact the insurance company directly to check eligibility. - Error. This could mean that you haven't yet entered your NPI and Tax ID on your Practice Information page or that the insurance information you have for the patient in Open Dental doesn't match their insurance provider's records. Only New Patient icons will stay with your patients when they move to the In Office and Checked Out tabs.
	Fill Appt Links
Similar to the Fill Appt button, these links appears next to broken appointments on the current day's schedule. You can click each one to mass text patients on your ASAP list or patients due for recall to fill that specific broken appointment. If a broken appointment is less than 60 minutes away the Fill Appt link will turn grey and be unclickable - there's just not enough time to fill the appointment!

In Office Tab

To get to the In Office tab of the homepage, click Today > In Office.

The In Office tab of the homepage is only viewable for today's appointments.

	Appointment List
Here, you'll see a list of today's patients who are currently checked in at your office. Appointments in this tab are all grouped together as Checked In. Each row shows appointment details including the patient's name, age, and mobile number, their appointment time, and the provider scheduled to perform the treatment.
	New Patient Icon
Indicates this patient is new to your practice.

Checked Out Tab

To get to the Checked Out tab of the homepage, click Today > Checked Out.

	Appointment List
Here, you'll see a list of today's patients who have been checked out for the day. Appointments in this tab are all grouped together as Checked Out. Each row shows basic information like the patient's name and age, and the provider who was scheduled to perform the treatment.
	New Patient Icon
Indicates this patient is new to your practice.

Clicking this icon gives you quick access to additional tasks for a patient: Text patient Email patient Call patient Go to patient profile

Past Dates

To view a past date's schedule on the homepage, click the down arrow next to the date at the top of the page and select the date you want to view from the calendar.

	Date

	Filters

Future Dates

Best Practices for the Homepage

To get the most out of Leap's homepage, here are some best practices we recommend:

Start your day off right by clicking Today and looking over who's confirmed, who you need to follow up with for a confirmation, and what broken appointments you may need to fill.
Check patients in and out as they come and go so you don't get backed up and your homepage accurately reflects who's in your office.
Make sure you always check new patients out in Leap before you schedule their next appointment. Otherwise, the New Patient icon will show on future appointments.
