Texting a Patient from their Profile Page
To text your patient from their Profile page, follow the steps below.
From the patient's profile, select the Text tab.
Type a message to the patient in the text box at the bottom of the page or click the Text Template icon
to use a pre-made template.Caution
Always keep your texts short and sweet! Some phone carriers limit the number of characters per text and split texts longer than 160 characters into pieces.
Hit Enter or click the Send icon
to send the text.
Warning
If you send an appointment reminder via direct message and they confirm via text, their appointment won't automatically confirm in Dentrix as it would if sent by mass text or the automated Appointment Reminders system.
